Laws of Aureus

Article I: Laws
Section I: All members of Aureus must obey the Founder.

Section II: All members must obey and/or take orders from those of higher rank, if it does not violate his/her rights.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: Do not steal or vandalize other’s citizens’  property/properties or government property/properties.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: Do not attack, harm, or kill other town members.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section V: Do not mindlessly attack foreigners/strangers unless given permission to do so by a Captain or higher.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VI:  Do not build or vandalize the wild landscape surrounding any Aureunite city.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VII: Do not build any type of structure or machine unless given permission to do so by a Captain or higher.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IX:  Do not incite violence with foreign factions. This includes taunting in chat, trespassing, vandalizing, or stealing.

Section X:  Close doors behind you and do not leave doors open. Keep doors locked

Section XI: Do not engage in any unconsented sexual activity with another individual of Aureus. This also includes sexual harassment..

Section XII: Do not instigate corruption or treason within the Aureunite government.

Section XIII: Do not reveal any Aureunite information to a foreign entity, unless given permission to do so by only the Founder.

Section XIV: Do not insult other members of Aureus. This also includes racism and slander.

Article II: Rights of Recruits
Section I: Recruits may work in a licensed and authorized Aureunite establishment.

Article III: Rights of Citizens
Section I: Citizens may work in a licensed and authorized Aureunite establishment.

Section II: Citizens may own property.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: Citizens may own or start a business as long as it is authorized by a Lord or Founder.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: Citizens may apply for higher ranks.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section V: Citizens can start, sign, and propose bills. Bills are proposal documents that are sent to the founder.  Bills usually issue problems within a law or piece of legislation and either call for its removal or call for it to be amended. A Bill can be sent to the Founder if three Citizens or higher sign off on it.

Section VI: Citizens may vote during legislative events.

Section VII: Citizens may visit any town they choose to go to.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VIII: Citizens have the right to use any resource outpost they choose to use.

Section IX: Citizens have freedom of speech, as long as it does not slanderize/threaten  other Aureunite members or the nation of Aureus.

Article IV: Power of Diplomats
Section I: Diplomats have all of the same rights and powers that Citizens have.

Section II: Diplomats may negotiate diplomatic documents with foreign leaders.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III; Diplomats may travel to foreign nations/towns.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: Diplomats may explore to find new nations.
________________________________________________________________________________


Article V: Power of Knights
Section I: Knights have all of the same rights and powers that Citizens have.

Section II: Knights can  lead men, platoons, a legion, or a squadron  in a battle or during wartime.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: Knights may police towns and act out arrests accordingly the the law. They may also use lethal measures if necessary

Section IV: Knights can lead and guard Aureunite prisons.
________________________________________________________________________________
Sections V: Knights must protect Aureunite citizens.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VI: Knights are expected to be loyal to the cause of Aureus and always  supportive of national interests.

Section VII: Knights can apply to become Captains.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VIII: Knights do not have any diplomatic power.
________________________________________________________________________________


Article VI: Power of Dukes
Section I: Captains have all of the same rights, duties, and powers that Knights have.

Section II: Can manage Guilds.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: Can manage towns/outposts.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: Captains do not have any diplomatic power.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section V: Captains must report all events concerning national interest or security to the Founder.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VI: Captains may ban Knights and lower from a town/outpost’s storage unit, if they manage said town/outpost’s storage unit.

Section VII: Captains must be promoted by the Founder in order to become a Lord.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VIII: Captains may confiscate items from other members, if given permission by the Founder or a Lord.

Article VII: Power of Lords
Section I: Lords have all of the same rights, duties, and powers that Captains and Diplomats have.

Section II: Lords may start their own town with permission from the founder.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: Lords may manage and own their own town with permission from the founder.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: Lords have absolute power over all lower ranking members. This power however, does not infringe on any member’s rights.

Article VIII: Power of the Founder
Section I: The Founder has all of the same rights, duties, and powers that Lords have.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section II: The Founder oversees and maintains the entire nation.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section III: The Founder has absolute power over all lower ranking members. This power however, does not infringe on any member’s rights.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section IV: The Founder may banish any member he/she deems fit if he/she feels they are threat to the nation.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section V: The Founder may suspend any member of their rights temporarily if he/she has broken the law or if the Founder feels that they are a threat to the nation.

Section VI: The Founder can uphold a council meeting. A council meeting is a meeting in which all the Lords of Aureus and the Founder vote on bills that have been proposed by the lower members and/or Lords or vote on decisions to be made about current events. Each bill/decision must be voted on through the voting system. The Founder during has 2 vote points. Lords have 1 vote point. Whichever side has the higher points gets the said legislation passed or revoked.
Council votes duration are determined by the Founder each time one is upholded. All Council votes must be documented. The documentation must include the date and what the final score was of each vote held.

Section VII: The Founder must recognize proposed bills and must uphold a Council vote on said proposed bill.
________________________________________________________________________________
Section VIII: The Founder may uphold a council vote by himself/herself, regardless of whether or not a bill was proposed, to vote on various legislative events/amendments to this document.

Article IX: Amendments
Amendment I: This amendment allows non-council members to listen to a Council Vote if the council allows it.

Amendment II: This amendment revokes Article I, Section VII.
"Article I, Section VIII: Diamonds and gems are not allowed to be stored in public storage areas. Members are to store such valuables in their house, property, private bank, or homemade vaults. Diamonds or other materials deemed to be of value will be confiscated and used for national interest by high ranking officials."
